WHAT IS KETAMINE?
Ketamine is an anesthetic used for sedation and chronic pain. Recent research has shown its rapid antidepressant effects. For treatment resistant depression Ketamine antagonizes the excitatory NDMA glutamate receptor that may reduce the excitotoxicity implicated in the development of treatment resistant depression.
